Cuffs

My son is growing like a weed and outgrowing all of his pants!!
Like most kids, his waist is not keeping up, so it's hard to find long pants in his size.  My solution-cuffs to buy some time until he is ready for the next size up.
Here we are, ready for the next flood or tsunami in our case!

Using the width of the pants as my guide, I cut (2) material 10x7.  I sewed the seams then folded it in half.
Pinned and sewed the cuffs to the pants so that the seam would be on the inside of the pants, so the unfinished end is at the edge of the pant leg.
I think they turned out great, but honestly, I think I needed a slightly bigger cuff to hid the seam, the problem is these pants were so short, I think a bigger cuff would have looked weird.

Yikes, I am still seeing sock!!  I give these a week before he out grows them again!

  3. Very clever!! Our DD has always been the tallest in her grade, boys or girls. We LOVE it when it is capri season. Of course here, that means for the last four weeks of school. :)
