Lego Shirt

I was pretty excited about this project because my little guy is obsessed with Legos and anything Lego puts a smile on his face!  I used this embroidery design on his valentine stocking a few days ago (I got the design from http://www.sweetpeasplace.com/index.php) and I thought I would make him this shirt for his valentine treat.
I started with a new t-shirt and I tried embroidering directing onto it, but despite stabilizer and the ball point needle, I was having a hard time getting a smooth design.  So I decided to try using felt to make a giant applique.  It came out beautifully, but I am not sure how it will hold up in the laundry.  Time will tell!

 Removing stabilizer from the backside.
Look at those smiling faces!!  I think they are so cute!
I really like how it turned out and I can't wait to give this to my little guy!  Let's just hope it doesn't fall apart in the wash!

  3. I looked for the design on the site you mentioned but could not find it. Was it a different site? Thanks, Pam
